Precinct Programs

Welcome to the RMIT University Partner Page.

A custom insights dashboard supports the program during the STORYBOX activation period.

RMIT University is leading the City North Social Innovation Precinct as a world-leading social innovation precinct, nurturing university, industry and community partnerships that bring to life the benefits of social innovation at the precinct scale.

From September to December 2025, the STORYBOX We Care Program sees STORYBOX digital portals take up residency across City North, creating spaces for storytelling & collaboration around common-good ideas, histories and transformative futures.

Insights Dashboard

The STORYBOX program incorporates visitor insights and analytics to support evaluation of the visitor experience of cultural programs. Existing visitor analytics tools include Pedestrian Activity monitors embedded within the STORYBOX physical hardware, and a MoodRing survey tool.

Outdoor Media for Better Public Spaces?

A series of provocations for a better kind of outdoor media. What if media in public spaces was designed for care-full places - not consumer advertising. What stories might care-full public space media share?

The Time Portal

STORYBOX acts as a portal into the different times of places. The program launches in October with a curated collection of key moments in the shaping of the precinct.

We Are Creatures

In connection with the RMIT Biocultural Realms Program, We Are Creatures invites the community to see the world from the point of view of an endangered creature in City North.

We Care Portraits

The We Care Data Civics initiative builds on the 2024 We Care program to invite RMIT Staff and Students to share their ideas around the future of AI and its impact on future practices of learning and enquiry. A selection of responses and ideas will be shared during the residency program.
